Reflections: Engaging Men and Boys

Providing a platform for men and boys to understand gender issues and gender oppression is an opportunity to recruit them to be advocates. 

We cannot do it in two to three days. It is a process.

But for the men and boys opening up their emotions and perceptions, accepting their misdeeds to women and girls and that they can be an ally and partners of all gender in dismantling the dominant masculine system are already doors and windows for invitations in the advocacy... There's always a room that we can found...

"I am a tree that can provide a shadow for others and can lean a hand to those in need.." said one of the participants.

"Ako usa ka humay nga sama sa pagkaon mohatag ug kinabuhi sa katawhan ug komunidad taliwala sa among sitwasyon nga duna pay pakigbisog sa yuta," ingon pud sa usa pa.

"I dream of a society that justice and equality exist," said one boy participant in our visioning session.

Let us see, for social transformation is untrue without women and gender liberation.
