You'll always be remembered Sumiteru Taniguchi-san

Thank You for leading the way!

You'll always be remembered Sumiteru Taniguchi-san!

Sumiteru Taniguchi, a survivor of the Atomic bomb dropped by the US forces in Japan last 1945 during the World War II. He passed away due to cancer at 88 (August 30). For a long time he was in pain and have suffered the after effects of the wound he got from the bombing and the radiation (that later on become the cancer to kill him) from the nuclear bomb but have never been cowed nor tired to demand and work for a nuclear-free world.

Thank You for leading the way Sumiteru Taniguchi-san. You're an inspiration.

Our heartfelt Condolences to the family, hibakushas and all peace activists in Japan and the world.

A Salute from me, my family, Mindanao Peoples' Peace Movement community and fellow Peace marchers...

"Your traces we will follow.
To victory we will remember you.
Tireless you worked so hard,
For nuclear in the world be banned.
You are an inspiration,
Today and of the coming generations."

Photo was taken during the 2016 World Conference against A and H bombs in Nagasaki, Japan last August 2016. I gave him "tubaw" as a token for being an inspiration and to thank him for his commitment. All he just want is a nuclear-free world.

A briefer about him: https://mainichi.jp/english/articles/20170830/p2a/00m/0na/005000c
